5. In the next step, you will be presented with the option to select what base(s) Coefficient will connect to for imports.

ℹ️ PRO TIP: We highly recommend that you select, “All current and future bases in all current and future workspaces”. If you select a specific base (ONLY) then you will only be able to import data from that base, you will have to "Reauthorize" Coefficient later on for any additional bases.

6. Click “+Add a base”, then select the base you would like to give Coefficient access to and click “Grant Access” when done.

ℹ️ Note: All filters/sorting options are reflective of the Airtable view when imported using Coefficient. This means that if you want to filter/sort your data further, you will need to make the adjustment in the Airtable UI for that view.11.png6. Congratulations on your first Airtable import in Coefficient! 🎉12.png

ℹ️ Note: The default name of your import is based on the Table’s name and not the View name. You can always modify it to your liking if needed. 👍🏼

FAQs for Airtable

When I connected Coefficient to Airtable, I picked a specific base, but now I want to import from other bases. What do I do?

This is easily remedied in Coefficient - not to worry. You will need to go through these steps to “Reauthorize” Coefficient to your Airtable instance. This means that you are going to expand the permissions for Coefficient to pull in more data from your other bases. When you get to the screen to “+Add a base” make sure you select the option, “All current and future bases in all current and future workspaces”.

ℹ️ Note: If you try to connect to another base after you created import(s) with another base (and don’t select the “All current and future bases in all current and future workspaces” option - you will receive a warning message from Coefficient.

I need to add a filter/sort to my Airtable import. How do I do that?

Any filtering and sorting must be done in the Airtable UI. So if you need additional filters on your Coefficient import, you will need to update the source in the Airtable UI.

How do I import a view that is a Gannt chart?

Gannt charts are not currently supported in Coefficient. If you select a Gannt chart/view we will default to pulling in all of the records from the underlying table.

I am getting this error message when I try to authenticate with Airtable, how can I resolve this?

214.png

Airtable has a limit of up to 20 connections per user per app when connecting to third-party integrations like Coefficient. To resolve this error, you need to log in to Airtable and delete one of your expired connections.

Steps to Delete an Expired Connection in Airtable:

  1. Click your Profile (avatar) icon on the upper-right-hand side.
  2. Select “Integrations”.
  3. Go to the “Third-party integrations” tab.
  4. Select Coefficient from the list and click ‘Delete’.
  5. Go back to the sidebar and try to re-authenticate again.

If you followed the above steps and removed the expired connection and are still seeing the error message (above), please reach out to support (support@coefficient.io) for further assistance.

I am getting an "Invalid Airtable view URL" error when creating an import. What do I do?

If you encounter this error when creating an Airtable import, try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check if you have the correct URL format. The View URL should follow this format: https://airtable.com/<base>/<table>/<view>?

2. Ensure you are using the View URL, not the Share Link URL. To confirm, open your Airtable View in a browser and copy the URL from the browser’s address bar.
