FAQs for Meta Ads
Why are the Action Breakdown and Action Attribution fields greyed out?
These fields will only be available if you choose an action metric from the Metrics list.
I have multiple Meta Ad accounts mapped to my Meta account. How can I pull in the data using Coefficient?
When you begin a Coefficient import from Meta Ads - “Start from scratch”, Coefficient will check the Ads accounts that you have associated with your Meta account. If we detect more than one Ad account, we will present you with an option to pick the Ad account you want to use for your Coefficient import. (If you only have one Ad account, we will skip this step)
I am being prompted to reconnect my Meta Ads account every 60 days. How can I fix this?
Due to some API limitations within the Meta Ads API, you will need to “Reauthorize” your data source connection every 60 days. To “Reauthorize” your connection, click the “Re-connect Meta Ads” link in the message to log in and authorize your account again.
I am getting a "Meta Ads API experienced an issue processing your request" error when I create an import. How do I fix this?
This error, originating from the Meta API, typically occurs due to the size of the requested data. To resolve this issue, try reducing the import date range. You can create one import for a specific date range and another for the remaining dates as a workaround. This approach helps you stay within the API limitations.
Some metrics I previously added to my Meta Ads import are missing. What should I do?
Meta recently announced the deprecation of specific metrics from their Meta Ads APIs, effective October 30, 2024 (more information from Meta here).
If your existing imports include any of these deprecated metrics, they will display blank values when refreshed. You can edit your import, and Coefficient will automatically remove the deprecated fields — there’s no need to deselect them manually.
Below is a list of the metrics deprecated by Meta:
