Import Templates are a convenient way to create imports without having to start from scratch. By crafting an import template, you can streamline the process of importing data without the need for repetitive manual field selection, sorting, and filtering. Additionally, this enables you to efficiently utilize the same template multiple times, resulting in valuable time/effort savings. 🤯
You can also share this with a new team member who might be new to Coefficient. They can readily utilize the import template you've designed as a starting point for their exploration and tasks. đź“š

FAQs for Import Templates
What happens to the existing imports when an Import Template is modified/deleted by the owner?
Any existing imports created using an import template will not be affected when the template is changed or deleted. Changes made to the template will only apply to future imports using that template.
What happens if the creator of the Import Template un-shares it?
If the creator of an import template decides to stop sharing it, the template will no longer appear in the "Import Templates" section for users within the domain to use and build upon. However, any existing imports created using the template will remain unchanged.
How can I tell if other members of my team are using import templates?
As the creator/owner of an import template, it is important to note which templates are being used by the team (especially if there are templates that are used more frequently). When you hover over the informational icon (ℹ️), a dialog box will appear showing key insights about that template (Created Date and Number of Imports using this template). If you are the creator/owner, the Description will also be displayed. |
The team member who created all our Import Templates has left the company. Is there a way to transfer the ownership to another (active) member of the team?
YES! We are happy to help in this scenario. Similar to how we need to transfer import ownership when a team member leaves (Transferring Imports), we are more than happy to help with this request. Please contact the Support team (support@coefficient.io) and let us know that you have Import Templates that need to be transferred over to a new user. (We will need to know the email of the current owner and the email of the new owner to complete this request).
