How Do I Delete an Import?
Deleting an import is a straightforward process. You can choose to delete the import and all of its data, or you can delete just the import and leave the data in Google Sheets/Excel. The latter option essentially renders the data as flat data that will no longer be refreshed by Coefficient from the data source.
Deleting the Import and its Data
1. Open the Coefficient sidebar, and locate the import you want to delete. |
2. Click the 3-vertical dots that appear next to the import and select the “Delete” option from the list. |
3. A pop-up window will appear confirming this action. Check the box to “Also delete imported data”. Then “Delete”. |
4. Coefficient will then delete the import from the sidebar, the data in the spreadsheet, and the tab containing the data.
ℹ️ NOTE: This action cannot be undone. If you deleted your import in error, you will need to re-create it from scratch.

4. The import will be deleted from your list in the sidebar, and the on-sheet buttons (Open Sidebar and Refresh) will also be removed from the Coefficient header (row 1). Your import has now become a tab with static data in it and is no longer a Coefficient import that can be refreshed.
FAQs for Deleting Imports
If I delete my import, is there a way to bring it back?
Once an import is deleted, this action cannot be reversed. If you accidentally delete your import, you will need to recreate it from scratch again.
Will my Data Alerts still work if I Delete my Import and Save the Data?
This depends on the Data Alert that you have set up on your spreadsheet. If the alert is dependent on data changing, meeting a certain criteria/threshold - this alert will cease to function as the import is no longer refreshing and the data will not update unless manually done. If the Data Alert is a Snapshot alert, that will continue to run, but it will be Snapshotting stagnant data in your sheet.
