Update Import Fields for Salesforce Templates

ℹ️ NOTE: For templates using other data sources, please refer here.

Coefficient Templates use a pre-defined selection of data fields and filters to power your dashboard. However, in many cases, you may prefer to use your company’s custom fields instead.

Here is a simple guide to help you update the default fields with your own when connecting with Salesforce templates.

Example: Let’s say you are using the "Salesforce Sales Opportunity Dashboard" template and you want to replace the field "Close Date" with another field called "Last Stage Change Date".

1. Launch Coefficient on your copy of a template spreadsheet by going to the Extensions menu and selecting Coefficient: Salesforce, Hubspot Data Connector.

2. In the Coefficient sidebar, select the import which contains the fields you need to replace. (Example: " Coefficient Data Pull")

3. Scroll down and click on + Add fields.

4. Search and select the field(s) you would like to add. Then, click Done Selecting Fields.

5. Uncheck the field(s) you are replacing, so that your new field takes the same position in the list order.

ℹ️ NOTE: If you are replacing a field that is not at the bottom of the list, you will need to drag your new field to the position immediately below the one you are replacing, BEFORE unchecking/removing the original field. This ensures that the new field lands in the same column as the original field.

6. Repeat the above steps for any other fields you would like to replace with custom fields. Once done, click on “Save and Run” to update your import and refresh your dashboard.
