Connecting to Amplitude

When you begin creating an Amplitude import for the first time, you will need to go through a few steps to connect Amplitude as a data source for Coefficient.

1. Open the Coefficient Sidebar and click Menu.

3. Select “Add Connection at the bottom and then “Connect” to Amplitude.

4. “Authorize” Coefficient to connect to your Amplitude account.

5. You will be redirected to Coefficient's cloud browser tab to log in with your Amplitude account. When authenticating your Amplitude account, you have a few different options to choose from:

  • Sign in with Google - The Coefficient's cloud browser will be redirected to the Google Sign-In page, which allows you to sign in with Amplitude through your Google account.

  • Single Sign-On - If your organization uses SSO for Amplitude, you need to enter your organization URL to authenticate your account.

  • Email -If you choose to log into Amplitude using your email address, you will receive a one-time authentication link via email. Copy the URL from this link and paste it into the field provided within the Coefficient Cloud browser. Click "Next" to continue. The Coefficient browser will close automatically, and you can then start creating your import.

Import from Amplitude

1. Open the Coefficient Sidebar and click the “Import from…” button.

2. Select “Amplitude” from the list.

3. Copy the chart URL from the Amplitude UI.   

The URL can be copied:

1. From your browser's (i.e., Chrome) URL bar after opening your Amplitude chart. 

OR

2. Click the "Link" button 🔗 on the right-hand side of your chart.

ℹ️ NOTE: When you make changes to your Amplitude chart, the URL might/will update. To ensure these changes are reflected in your import's data, remember to "Save" the chart in Amplitude.

FAQs for Amplitude

Can I connect to multiple Amplitude accounts?

Currently, connecting to multiple Amplitude accounts is not supported. For further assistance, please contact support (support@coefficient.io).

Can I use this Amplitude integration in Excel? 

Currently, Coefficient's Amplitude integration is only supported on Google Sheets. If you are interested in using it within Excel, please contact our support team at support@coefficient.io for further assistance.

I updated the settings of my chart in Amplitude, but the data in my import isn't correct. What should I do?

To ensure the data reflects the most recent settings of your Amplitude chart, please make sure to "Save" all changes to your chart before copying the URL and importing with Coefficient.

Do you support all types of Amplitude charts?

The following chart types are not supported within the Amplitude connector:

  • Data Tables
  • Journeys
  • Personas
  • Compass
