Connecting to GitLab

When you begin a GitLab import for the first time, you will need to go through a few steps to connect to GitLab as a data source for Coefficient.

1. Open the Coefficient Sidebar and click the Menu.

2. Select “Connected Sources”.

3. Select “Add Connection” at the bottom and then “Connect” to GitLab.

4. Select Authorize to redirect to the Gitlab login page.

5. You will be redirected to the GitHub screen to login and to authorize the connection. Select "Authorize Coefficient."

6. When successful, you can proceed with creating an import by clicking the "Import data..." button at the bottom.

 

 

Import from GitLab

1. Open the Coefficient Sidebar and click on the “Import from…” button.

2. Select “GitLab” from the list.

3. Enter a clear and specific prompt describing your request for the data you need from GitLab.

 

4. Fields relating to your request will appear in the sidebar for you to select/unselect to include in your import. Click on "Add fields" to show all available fields. Click "Import" to proceed.

5. Please allow a moment for the agent to generate your import. (The results will appear shortly.) Congratulations on creating your first GitLab import through the agent chat! 🎉

Once you have pulled your data into your spreadsheet using Coefficient, you can set up the following:

FAQs for GitLab Integration

How can I update or add filters to refine the data in my GitLab import?

To edit your import, open it from the sidebar and click “Edit this import” under the summary section (see screenshot).

From there, enter a new prompt in the agent chat describing the updates you’d like to make (such as adding filters or adjusting sorting).

Can I schedule my import for auto-refresh after it has been created by the agent?

Yes, once your import has been created by the agent, you can schedule it to auto-refresh from the “Refresh Schedule” section in the sidebar.

How can I provide feedback about my experience with the agent chat?

After your import is created, a prompt will appear in the sidebar allowing you to share your experience with the agent by selecting like or dislike.
