Connecting to Xero
When you begin a Xero import for the first time, you will need to go through a few steps to connect to Xero as a data source with Coefficient.

1. Open the Coefficient Sidebar and click Menu. |
2. Select “Connected Sources”.

3. Select “Add Connection” at the bottom and then “Connect” to Xero. |

4. “Authorize” Coefficient to connect to your Xero account. |
5. Follow the prompts to sign into Xero if you are not signed in yet, and click on "Allow access" to allow the connection to Xero. You'll be redirected back to the Coefficient sidebar once the operation succeeds. |
Import from Xero
Import from Objects and Fields

1. From the Coefficient Sidebar, select “Import from…”. |
2. Select “Xero” from the list. |
3. Choose "From Objects & Fields". |
4. Select the Xero Object (Example: Contacts) from the Import Preview window, then click “Next”.
5. Select the desired fields for your import. There may be fields selected (by default) - you can add/remove them as needed. The Import Preview window updates based on the selected/unselected fields.
6. Customize your import by adding filters, sorts, or limits.

Import from Reports

1. Open the Coefficient Sidebar and click on the “Import from…” button. |
2. Select “Xero” from the list. |
3. Select "From Reports". |

4. Select the Xero report you would like to import from your account (eg., Profit and Loss) |
5. Customize your import by specifying the date period by adding the From Date and To Date. ℹ️ NOTE: Depending on the Xero report you have selected, there may be additional filter options for you. |
ℹ️ NOTE: "Compare with" is also available for some reports, such as Profit and Loss, allowing you to view data comparisons for specific periods (e.g., Month, Quarter, Year) and include calculations, making the data easier to view. You may also choose the format via standard layout or cash basis only. Comparison of tracking categories is also possible, but it will remove the Compare with filters by default when selected. |

FAQs for Xero Integration
I already have imports created on Xero. Would those be automatically migrated?
Your existing Xero imports would continue to operate as before. Any new import you create would automatically be presented using the latest UX. If you are using the AI Xero agent, you would have to create a new Xero connection to import using the upgraded connector.
