Katana is a cloud inventory platform that helps businesses manage manufacturing, inventory, sales, and purchasing. By connecting Katana to Coefficient, you can import your data directly into Google Sheets or Excel for easier reporting and analysis.
Through Coefficient's AI-powered agent chat, you can quickly pull data from Katana and organize it in your spreadsheet. Once imported, you can also schedule automatic refreshes, create snapshots, and set up automations to keep your data up to date. ⚔️

Connecting to Katana
When you begin a Katana import for the first time, you will need to complete a few steps to connect |Katanaas a data source for Coefficient.

1. Open the Coefficient Sidebar and click the Menu.

2. Select “Connected Sources”. |
3. Select “Add Connection” at the bottom, then “Connect” to Katana. |

4. Generate an API Key for your account in Katana. ℹ️ NOTE: If an API Key is not yet created for your account, you will need to create one. Please see the Katana API documentation for details. |
5. Enter the API Key generated from your Katana account and click Connect. |
6. When successful, you can proceed with creating an import by clicking the "Import data..." button at the bottom. |

1. Open the Coefficient Sidebar and click on the “Import from…” button. |
2. Select “Katana” from the list. |

3. Enter a clear and specific prompt describing your request for the data you need from Katana. |
4. Fields relating to your request will appear in the sidebar for you to select/unselect to include in your import. Click on "Add fields" to show all available fields. Click "Import" to proceed. |
5. Please allow a moment for the agent to generate your import. (The results will appear shortly.) Congratulations on creating your first Katana import through the agent chat! 🎉

How can I update or add filters to refine the data in my Katana import?

To edit your import, open it from the sidebar and click “Edit this import” under the summary section (see screenshot). From there, enter a new prompt in the agent chat describing the updates you’d like to make (such as adding filters or adjusting sorting). |
Can I schedule my import for auto-refresh after it has been created by the agent?
Yes, once your import has been created by the agent, you can schedule it to auto-refresh from the “Refresh Schedule” section in the sidebar.
How can I update the API key for my Katana data source connection?
When you edit your import and open the Agent Chat, the AI will automatically detect if your API key is no longer valid. If needed, you’ll be prompted within the chat to update or enter a new API key.
How can I provide feedback about my experience with the agent chat?
